Utrerano Noche 'Rhino' is an ANCCE Revised, dressage bred, 4y/o 16.1hh bay PRE Stallion training in San Diego, CA. Rhino has great gaits with a superb walk scoring 9 at his first show, with a 'Wow!' from the judge. He received scores over 70% at his 1st two shows. Noble and kind, with perfect behavior at shows and at home, Rhino is amateur friendly, but suitable for a professional. Rhino loves trail rides, he loads and trailers easily, he is great around mares and has clean X-rays on file.
Rhino was bred for the highest levels of dressage:
His sire, Poeta de Susaeta represented Spain in the World Championships for young horses in 2017 and 2018 and was crowned world champion PRE at SICAB in 2023. Poeta is currently competing in Grand Prix and is an Olympic hopeful. Poeta's sire, Cacique IX is renowned Elite PRE widely recognized in the dressage world. Cacique himself was also sired by an Elite stallion Ermitaño III. Ermitaño III was the first PRE to receive the Elite breeding status.
Rhino's dam, Lebrijana Noche was ranked 4th in the world for dressage genetic traits in PRE horses in the Valoración Genética in 2018 with an impressive score of 119.5. She also had scores of 9 in her walk, trot and canter at her revision. Lebrijana's sire, Utrerano VII is an Elite stallion who is most known for being the sire of Fuego XII, the Olympic champion who represented Spain in the World Equestrian games in 2010. Lebrijana's dam, Bruja MT is also well known in the PRE world. She was Absolute Champion of Movement at a National show (Celebration 2010, with over 100 entries) and was also Grand Champion Andalusian at Surf-and-Sun in 2010. Both of Bruja's parents were grandchildren of Lebrijano III, and Bruja's full brother, Gallardo MT was the top exhibition horse for Medieval Times for many years.
(Of Note, In the PRE world, Elite status is given to a stallion that has proven its ability to pass on qualities through its lineage and offspring. As of 2024 only 20 PRE stallions have earned Elite status.)
It is unlikely that you will find a horse with better dressage breeding than Rhino, but on top of that he has the most wonderful temperament, he has the talent for a professional and the temperament for an adult amateur. The farrier said that he has 'the best feet he has ever seen', he is young, sound, and healthy and scoring well in dressage. And for those interested in breeding, he also can produce black (Agouti A/a).
